A performance by Mike Caveney is unique. Each of his original routines is perfectly suited to his dry comedic wit. He doesn't tell jokes but you won't stop laughing and when something amazing happens, it isn't just a trick, it's a miracle. Mike is a member of the most prestigious group of magicians in the world, The Inner Magic Circle of London, England. On ten different occasions Mike has been nominated as STAGE MAGICIAN OF THE YEAR by the famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. In 1979 Mike published his first book on magic. Today Mike Caveney's Magic Words has over thirty titles in its catalog. Serious magicians look to Magic Words for state-of-the-art magic written by some of the industry's most creative minds. The high quality of these books has made them sought after by both collectors and performers around the world. In 1999, Mike was awarded the Literary Fellowship by Hollywood's Magic Castle.

LECTURER

Mike has shared his original brand of magic with fellow magicians in such diverse locals as Argentina, Mexico, France, England, Belgium, Finland, Sweden, Portugal, Japan, Thailand, Norway, New Zealand and Australia. Three times he has lectured at the Magic Castle and three times he has been nominated as Lecturer of the Year.

AUTHOR

In 1981 Mike wrote Magicomedy, a book of original routines that have been performed by many of magic's top professionals. Next was the biography of a famous vaudeville headliner, The Great Leon followed by the best selling Harry Anderson - Wise Guy. For his book on Carter the Great, Mike was awarded the John Nevil Maskelyne award for literature by England's Magic Circle. Additional awards came from The Milbourne Christopher Foundation and the Society of American Magicians Hall of Fame. His most recent book is Servais Le Roy - Monarch of Mystery written in collaboration with William Rauscher. Mike is also a contributing editor to MAGIC-The Independent Magazine for Magicians.
